About S.C.R.I.P.T
A powerful performer who isn’t afraid to speak his mind, SCRIPT is Canada’s answer to the lack of genuine artists in today’s hip hop scene. From humble beginnings as a spoken word poet, SCRIPT has garnered attention in the music industry due to his effortless prose and charismatic performances. His music demonstrates a wide range of talent that employs carefully composed poetry and engaging beats to evoke a personal message of perseverance and triumph. Covering everything from R&B & Soul to aggressive street anthems, the young scribe’s music has both widespread and lasting appeal.
SCRIPT, whose real name is Loren D. Whittingham, is a landed immigrant from Jamaica who spent much of his childhood in Canada’s foster care system. He found a sense of healing and identity in poetry, and has won several local competitions for both hip hop and spoken word performances. After over 4 years of perfecting his craft in the booth, SCRIPT has released a 6 song EP, titled “Just Me”. Depicting a dark, brooding past as well as an optimistic outlook for the future, “Just Me” is a well-rounded introduction to SCRIPT’s complex world.
